How To Avoid Ruining Your Pictures

November 16, 2011

The main objective of framing photos is to preserve these memorabilia in order for them to last a lifetime, as much as possible, as well as, for the next generation to see and appreciate them. These article aims to give some tips in order to avoid ruining your pictures when you do some framing photos, yourself. When these tips are carefully followed or observed, framing photos will be as easy as 1, 2 and 3.

When one of your favorite photos is set to be framed, it is wise to take note that touching the front side of the photo with your bare hands when you frame it will leave your fingerprints on it and may damage or ruin the photo even before you actually frame it, which is, of course, undesirable. If you really need to hold the photo when you frame it, you can just simply grab the back portion of the picture or its edges if necessary. Fingerprints may not be immediately visible, but you will be surprise at some later time that it will just appear as if from nowhere and can be one of the causes of the distractions.

For picture or pictures that is or are intended to be displayed for a longer period of time, avoid buying “instant” photo frames in some camera shops or the like. You may wonder why, but by using these kinds of frames when you frame it (or frame them) may make the print emulsion of the photograph to come in contact with the glass and might permanently stick to it. If this happens, it will spoil the appearance of the photo, thus planning to display it for a longer period of time will only just be a dream.

This kind of event can be avoided if we use photo frames that have mat, as mat separates the picture from the glass, thus you can avoid ruining the photo when you frame it.
